This term our Bloomberg Workshop Series returns with two trading workshops, hosted by ex-Deutsche Bank Options Trader Mark Carrodus. These workshops promise to deliver fantastic insights into investment banking’s most publicised profession.
Mark graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Commerce before returning in 2017 to complete his PhD, looking at the Foreign Exchange Carry Trade strategy. Over his career, Mark has enjoyed an illustrious career with the likes of banking juggernauts Credit Suisse, Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank.
In this first workshop, students will be hearing how an investment bank’s trading unit operates and the various roles involved in the trading and market-making space. This will be especially valuable for students looking to pursue a career in the trading and sales space and wanting to learn more about what a trader’s job and life entails.
Spaces are limited to twenty spots, so make sure you hurry and register your attendance as it is first-in-first served. As always, The Investment Society will be providing free drinks and food at the conclusion of our event.
